Cat Condo

A cat condo or Cat tower is an artificial structure for a cat to play and exercise. A cat condo is built around a house for a pet cat to spend some time. The condo must be attractive for cat in order to make him/her enjoy the experience. A condo is usually constructed of wood and covered with carpet or similar stuff to make the animal feel at home.

The cat condos or towers are built to allow the cats to enjoy their home without getting too much into the human houses and interfere with household items. The cat condos have to be specific shape and size to attract the animal. It is recommended that there should be some kind of shelter from heat and cold so that a cat may not feel uncomfortable.

Cat trees are named as such because they typically have several platforms as differing angles that aid in exercise for the cat as well as a means for the cat to reach the top. The term 'condo' is based on more extensive cat trees that contain enclosed areas for the cat to hide in. The cat house can be customized for any cat size, kittens to Maine Coons, and may be constructed of any material.

All houses must be on castors or a temporary rolling system appropriate for weight of the house. The weight limit should not exceed 500 pounds. The dimensions should not exceed: 4’ wide x 5’ deep x 5.5’ tall or 5’ wide x 4’ deep x 5.5’ tall. The condos are very popular among the owners of kittens in United States. Cat condos can be built from scratch or can be bought from stores.

There are advantages and disadvantages of this technique. First of all building a cat tower requires plan and perfect execution. An ill planned condo may become useless as your cat will not be able to settle into her new home. On the other hand a good planned condo is prefect for settling a pet at her own home and making them fit and enjoy themselves.

The same arguments can be given in favor of buying a condo as it gives a buyer a peace of mind as the condos are properly built and properly built according to your cat size. The condo may have special look for your cat to exercise. On the other hand a custom built condo may be quite costly and may not fit into the profile of the owner. So building a condo must be planned before taking any action.
